APPROVAL OF DISTRICT PROCEDURES FOR STUDENT ASSIGNMENT, OPEN ENROLLMENT, CONTROLLED CHOICE, NCLB AYP CHOICE WITH TRANSPORTATION AND REASSIGNMENT.
Description
School Board policy 5.20 states that "students may be permitted to attend a school in another residential attendance zone pursuant to guidelines adopted by the School Board. Guidelines shall be issued annually." These procedures have been updated to conform to current statute and regulations and serve to direct student placement decisions in the district.
Recommendation
That the procedures for Student Assignment, Open Enrollment, Controlled Choice, NCLB AYP Choice with Transportation and Reassignment be approved as presented.
